    The work carried out by nursing professionals within the emergency service implies a multiplicity of responsibilities due to the great demand of patients who require their attention. Added to this are the conditions in which they must deploy their actions, the insufficient number of specialized professionals and the scarcity of resources, aspects that affect the quality of nursing care, since despite the efforts they make, they are unable to supply themselves for effectively respond to all cases that arise, a situation that has a negative impact on patient satisfaction. OBJECTIVE: to determine how the quality of nursing care is related to patient satisfaction in the emergency service of the Sergio E. Bernales Hospital, 2023. MATERIALS AND METHODS: the research will be quantitative, non-experimental-observational, cross-sectional, descriptive and correlational. . The study sample will be 80 patients. The technique will be the survey. The instruments that will be applied are two questionnaires, the measurement scale for the variables is ordinal Always = 2, Sometimes = 1, Never = 0.
