Publicación Acceso abierto Interacciones medicamentosas potenciales en recetas médicas de pacientes no COVID del servicio de medicina del Hospital Regional de Ayacucho de enero a mayo de 2022(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-09-16) Girón Aguilar, Gabriela Jackeline; Caldas Herrera, EmmaThe objective was to identify Potential Drug Interactions in medical prescriptions for non-COVID patients in the Medicine Department of the Regional Hospital of Ayacucho from January to May 2022. The method used was deductive, with a quantitative approach, applied type, and an observational, cross-sectional, non-experimental design. The population consisted of 530 medical prescriptions, with a representative sample of 223. A validated data collection form was used as the technique, considering dimensions such as Drug Interactions by Mechanism of Action, Severity Level, Pharmacotherapeutic Group, and Quantity of Interactions. Additionally, the Drug Interactions Checker software tool was employed to identify the present interactions. Results: The majority of potential drug interactions identified were Pharmacodynamic (76.8%, 1012 interactions) in the Mechanism of Action dimension. Regarding Severity Level, most cases were Moderate (74.13%, 977 interactions). For the Pharmacotherapeutic Group, Cardiovascular Drugs accounted for 18.7% (246 interactions). In terms of the Quantity of Interactions, 66.37% (148 prescriptions) had three or more interactions. Conclusion: Of the 223 prescriptions analyzed, 82.5% showed potential drug interactions.
