The sample studied was of a non-probabilistic type, composed of 80 medical students of the 1st cycle of the medical career of a private university. The data were collected through 02 questionnaires, where one was to measure critical thinking and the other to measure learning strategies. Likewise, the Pearson correlation coefficient r = 0.592> 0, which indicates a positive correlation, that is to say that a good use of learning strategies affects generating good critical thinking, which helps the student to be more critical and reasonable when when it comes to acquiring new knowledge in the case of these students who will work with human lives and who are exposed to making the right decisions.
