This study was observational, descriptive, cross-sectional, prospective, and correlational. The sample consisted of 120 registered merchants from the "Santa Elizabeth" market in the San Juan de Lurigancho District. A survey was conducted to determine the merchants' eating habits. Blood samples were then taken to determine glucose and cholesterol levels. using enzymatic methods whose processing was carried out in the Academic Assistance Service of Clinical Analysis of the Faculty of Pharmacy and Biochemistry of the National University of San Marcos, finding the following results: By determining the influence of bad eating habits on hyperglycemia and hypocholesterolemia, we conclude that 13% (16) of the cases analyzed have hypoglycemia, 43% (52) have hyperglycemia and the remaining 43% (52) have desirable glucose values; with respect to cholesterol, 47% (56) have desirable values, 17% (20) have high normal values and a worrying 37% (44) have high values.
