Ítem Acceso abierto Effectiveness of job rotation in preventing musculoskeletal disorders in industrial sector operational workers(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2019-04-07) Gonzales Ayasta, Javier Alejandro; Callata Morales, Justina Luisa; Pretell Aguilar, Rosa MaríaThe systematic review of the 10 scientific articles evidenced on the effectiveness of job rotation in the prevention of musculoskeletal disorders in operational workers in the industrial sector were obtained from the following database Pubmed, British Journal, Elsevier, Ergonomics and Google Scholar. They were analyzed according to the Grade scale to determine the strength and quality of the evidence. 50% (5/10) correspond to the quasi-experimental design, 40% (4/10) are of a systematic review methodological design and 10% (1/10) are a randomized clinical trial. Of the 10 articles reviewed, 60% (6/10) stated that job rotation potentially contributes to the reduction of musculoskeletal disorders associated with work and 40% (4/10) showed that there is no significant evidence for its application. of a job rotation program, since there was no alteration in the relationship between hours lost and the prevalence of musculoskeletal discomfort. Of the 10 articles reviewed, 6 of 10 studies show that there is effective job rotation in the prevention of musculoskeletal disorders in operational workers, another 2 of the 10 articles indicate that there are no significant findings on the effectiveness of job rotation and finally, 2 of 10 studies indicate that its effectiveness in alternating tasks varies according to the effort required.
