Material and Methods: The type of quantitative study, the design was a systematic review. The population consisted of 80 articles, 10 scientific articles were chosen as a sample, they had the following databases as instruments: Pub Med, Springer Link, Cochrane Bookstore. 100% qualitative (n= 10/10). According to the results obtained, according to the methodological design, 20% are systematic review and meta-analysis, 10% are systematic review, 30% are meta-analysis review and 40% experimental, according to the quality of the evidence according to the Grade se system. found high at 100% high and according to the strength of the recommendation 100% strong. They correspond to countries such as: United Kingdom 40%, China 30%, Europe 20% and Iran 10% respectively. Results: 60% (n = 6/10) agree with the effectiveness of light mesh compared to heavy mesh for reducing postoperative pain in patients with inguinal hernia. 40% of the articles (n = 4/10) disagree with the effectiveness of light mesh compared to heavy mesh for reducing postoperative pain in patients with inguinal hernia. Conclusion: it was concluded that 60% (n = 6/10) agree with the effectiveness of light mesh compared to heavy mesh for reducing postoperative pain in patients with inguinal hernia. 40% of the articles (n = 4/10) disagree about the effectiveness of light mesh compared to heavy mesh for reducing postoperative pain in patients with inguinal hernia.
