Material and methods: It is descriptive with a non-experimental design, quantitative and cross-sectional approach. The sample was made up of 112 nursing interns, this information was obtained from the school's internal list. To obtain data, the validated instrument, the academic procrastination scale (EAP), was used, showing a very high internal consistency (α = 0.816). Results: It allowed us to know that academic procrastination, which most predominates in nursing interns, is The medium criterion is 74% and the High criteria is 26%, meaning that there is self-control, time organization, ineffective learning strategies, postponement of the start, continuation or completion of academic tasks and time pressure in completing tasks, this indicates that there is stress from the activities carried out by nursing interns. Conclusions: In total academic procrastination, there are medium and high criteria in the assignment of values, indicating stress, that is, low self-control, time organization, little effectiveness in learning strategy, completion and pressure of academic tasks. In the Academic Self-Regulation dimension, there are Medium and high criteria in the assignment of values with low self-control and organization of time and in learning strategies. In the dimension of Postponing activities, there are Medium and high criteria in the assignment of values with low self-control and organization of time and in learning strategies.Ítem Acceso abierto Academic stress and procrastination in students of the ninth cycle of Nursing at the Norbert Wiener University, Lima, 2021(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-12-15) Gamarra Astahuaman, Nerly Aybe; Gonzales Saldaña, Susan HaydeeThe study was conducted with the aim of identifying the relationship between academic stress and procrastination among nursing students at the Norbert Wiener University. The objective was to determine whether there is a significant relationship between academic stress and procrastination in students of the ninth cycle of Nursing at Norbert Wiener University, Lima, 2021. It is an applied research study, using the hypothetical-deductive method with a quantitative approach. The research was descriptive-theoretical or pure, and a correlational design was used, with a sample of 53 ninth-cycle nursing students. The academic stress inventory and the SISCO procrastination scale were used for evaluation. Spearman's Rho statistic was applied for data analysis. According to the findings on academic stress, 26 students (49% of the class) from the ninth cycle of nursing at Norbert Wiener University experience moderate academic stress; 20 students (38%) show moderately low academic stress, and 2 students (4%) have moderately high academic stress. Regarding procrastination, 25 students (47%) show moderately high procrastination; 22 students (42%) have high procrastination, and 5 students (9%) present moderate procrastination. The correlation analysis revealed a significant relationship between academic stress and procrastination in ninth-cycle nursing students, with a coefficient of 0.379 and a p-value of 0.005, which is below the estimated error (0.01).Ítem Acceso abierto Academic stress in first-term students of the Professional Academic School of Nursing at Norbert Wiener University, 2020(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2020-07-27) Sullca Vila, Giuliana Soledad; Gonzales Saldaña, Susan HaydeeObjective: determine the level of academic stress in students of the first cycle of the professional academic school of nursing at the Norbert Wiener University 2020. Methods: study with a quantitative, descriptive, non-experimental and cross-sectional approach. The population was 165 nursing students from the first cycle 2020 I, no statistical formula was used for the sample because we worked with 38% of the population, which is equivalent to 62 students selected based on the inclusion and exclusion criteria set out in the study. . The instrument used was the SISCO Inventory structured by 23 items and has a reliability of 0.933 in Cronbach's alpha. Results: the level of academic stress was 9.7% mild stress, 22.6% severe stress and 67.7% moderate stress. The stressor dimension was the overload of tasks and jobs with a mean of 3.84, the symptom dimension was chronic fatigue with a mean of 3.13 and the major coping strategy used was to analyze the positive and negative of the solutions designed with an average of 4.00. Conclusion: The level of academic stress of nursing students in the morning shift of the first cycle is moderate at 67.7%.Ítem Acceso abierto Anthropometric Nutritional Assessment in schools of primary education of the Santa Rosa de Llanavilla Educational Institution 7241(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2020-01-31) Quevedo Torres, Azucena; Gonzales Saldaña, Susan HaydeeObjective: To determine the anthropometric nutritional assessment in primary school students at Santa Rosa de Llanavilla Educational Institution 7241. Methodology: This research follows a quantitative approach, with a descriptive cross-sectional methodological design. The population consisted of 111 primary school students from the first to sixth grade. The participating students were selected according to inclusion and exclusion criteria. Results: Among first-grade students, 94% had normal height, 6% had short stature; 81% had normal BMI, 13% had thinness, and 6% had obesity. In second-grade students, 100% had normal height, 77% had normal BMI, and 23% had obesity. Among third-grade students, 89% had normal height, 11% had short stature; 83% had normal BMI, and 17% had obesity. In fourth-grade students, 81% had normal height, 5% had tall stature, and 14% had short stature; 67% had normal BMI, and 33% had obesity. In fifth-grade students, 100% had normal height, 92% had normal BMI, and 8% had obesity. Finally, among sixth-grade students, 88% had normal height, 6% had tall stature, and 6% had short stature; 72% had normal BMI, and 28% had obesity. Conclusions: It was found that the majority of students have a normal height and body mass index for their age.Ítem Acceso abierto Anxiety and depression in teens in the 3rd, 4th and 5th Grade of secondary school 1219 Jose Carlos Mariategui, 2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2024-04-12) Tarazona Valverde, Gianfranco Pyer; Gonzales Saldaña, Susan HaydeeThe present research aims to determine the relationship between anxiety and depression among 3rd, 4th, and 5th-grade high school adolescents at 1219 José Carlos Mariátegui School in 2023. Methodologically, it was structured under a hypothetical-deductive, applied, quantitative, cross-sectional, non-experimental, and correlational method, involving a population of 522 participants. The sample consisted of 222 students, and questionnaires were used as instruments for each variable. The results showed that 55% of the participants were predominantly male. Anxiety levels were within normal limits for 61% of the participants, while depression was at a mild level for 58%. It was evidenced that emotional and physical discomfort dimensions significantly correlated with depression with a p-value of 0.000. It is concluded that there is a significant relationship between anxiety and depression among 3rd, 4th, and 5th-grade high school adolescents at 1219 José Carlos Mariátegui School in 2023. In such a situation, the concern arises regarding the attitude of nurses, as beyond professional expertise and required procedures, they face a situation that can generate various emotional and psychological reactions that need to be understood and controlled or reversed, as they can harm not only them but also the people they care for, the families, and the entire healthcare system. Objective: To determine the attitude of nurses towards the death of patients in the Emergency Service of the Edgardo Rebagliati Martins Hospital, Lima - 2020. Likewise, it had the following methodological characteristics: it was applied, with a quantitative approach, correlational, crosssectional design, as well as non-experimental, with a sample of 184 older adults to whom the survey technique was applied. In addition, the results indicated that the biological factor age was significantly related to depression, where the p value reached was 0.023, likewise, with a p value of 0.015 the social factor poverty condition showed a significant relationship with depression. Similarly, the psychological factors referred to participation in recreational activities, participation in family activities, coexistence, communication with other people, frequency of contact and support were significantly related to depression, with a p value of less than 0.050. Concluding that, the biopsychosocial factors showed a significant relationship with depression in older adults, because a p-value of less than 0.050 was reached. Methodology was quantitative, hypothetical - deductive, applied, non-experimental, correlational, and cross-sectional. The instruments used were from Maza (18) and contain two questionnaires, one for the occupational risk variable and the other for biosafety measures. The SPSS v-25 was used and with this tool the analysis of the dimensions of the variables, occupational risk and biosafety measures was carried out. The results reveal that in the contingency analysis (cross tables), in the biosafety measures variable, the low level predominates in 42.4%, with 36 respondents who are located at this level and in terms of the occupational risk variable, also the low level predominates with 37.6% in 32 respondents. The biosafety dimension is significantly related to the occupational risk variable with a significance value p=0.000, the handwashing dimension is significantly related to the occupational risk variable with a significance value p=0.000, the personal protection dimension is significantly related to the occupational risk variable with a value of significance p=0.000. Methodology: It was developed with a quantitative approach, the research was hypothetical-deductive. / cross-sectional correlational, composed of a total finite population was made up of 120 students of the nursing school of the IX cycle, taking the total population as a sample. For the data collection, the survey was presented together with its instrument, with respect to the first variable it was a questionnaire made up of 22 questions, divided into 3 dimensions, the dimension being emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, and personal fulfillment; For the second variable, the questionnaire was made up of 17 questions together with 3 dimensions, these being vigor, dedication and absorption. Results: It was obtained that 59 nursing students (56.7%) had a medium burnout syndrome with high academic performance, where Cronbach's alpha is 0.001, indicating that it is below the alpha of 0.05. Material and methods: A quantitative, descriptive-correlational, cross-sectional study was conducted in a sample consisting of 100 nurses from the surgical, emergency and intensive care services, who were surveyed through the scales: Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI) and Professional Quality of Life Scale (CVP-35). The collected data were emptied to a database in the SPSS 24 program, which through the normality test established the use of Sperman Rho to determine the relationship between the variables. Results: It was obtained that about half of the nurses surveyed (44%) are absent from Burnout syndrome and at the same time with good quality of life; In the same way it is found that there is a 5% of population that does present this syndrome are in regular quality of life. Likewise, there is a predominance of high emotional exhaustion and depersonalization in 78% and 67% respectively, and average personal fulfillment in 84%. Conclusions: There is a considerable negative relationship, according to Spearman's correlation coefficient, between Burnout syndrome and quality of life in nurses in critical units of a hospital in Lima – 2023. Materials and Methods: The research follows a quantitative approach with a descriptive method and cross-sectional design. The study presents a non-probability, census-based sample, consisting of 52 nursing staff members from the hospitalization department of a hospital in Lima, selected as the sample. Results: Burnout Syndrome, in its depersonalization dimension, shows a low level of burnout in 30% of the staff, with regular job performance, related in 48%; the correlation is significant at the 0.05 level (bilateral). Burnout Syndrome, in its emotional exhaustion dimension, shows a moderate to high level of burnout in 34% of the staff, with regular job performance, related in 38%; the correlation is significant at the 0.05 level (bilateral). The research employed a cross-sectional design and was also descriptive, quantitative, and correlational. The study population consisted of 70 different nurses. The survey technique was chosen, with the questionnaire as the instrument. It was found that there is a relationship between burnout syndrome and job performance through Spearman's correlation factor, which was Rho = -0.302. These results indicate the presence of a negative connection between both variables, which, since they are inversely proportional, suggests that improvement in job performance is likely to occur after the absence of burnout syndrome. The results led the researchers to conclude that there is a connection between burnout syndrome and overall job performance. Similarly, 1.4% (1) of the respondents from a private clinic in Lima had a high presence of burnout syndrome, 91.4% (64) had a medium level, and 7.1% (5) had a low level. Material and methods: it was quantitative, correlational and cross-sectional, as for the instruments, the Burnout Inventory questionnaire created by Maslach (MBI) was used for Burnout Syndrome and for Professional Quality of Life the questionnaire (CVP 35) created Karasek R. The sample is equal to the population and is made up of 75 people who make up the nursing staff of the Emergency Service of a level II Hospital. A pilot test was carried out on the total population to demonstrate its reliability and validity. Results: The correlation between Burnout Syndrome variables and Professional Quality of Life according to Spearman's Rho -0.83, statistically shows that there is a strong and inverse relationship between Burnout Syndrome and quality of life in nursing staff who works in the Emergency Service. The study was quantitative, non-experimental, cross-sectional, and correlational, with a sample of 76 nurses working in the emergency service. Aim. Determine the Burnout Syndrome presented by Health personnel who work in the Neonatology service of a private clinic, Lima 2020. Methodology. Quantitative study with cross-sectional descriptive design. The technique used was the survey and the Maslash Burnout Inventory scale instrument validated in the country, was made up of 40 health professionals, 17 were nurses and 23 were nursing technicians. Results. 50% of the staff showed a tendency to suffer from burnout syndrome, 25% present it, followed by 25% absence of suffering from it. According to dimensions, emotional exhaustion was found, 20% present a tendency, while 30% present an absence of emotional exhaustion. Depersonalization was present in 22%, 48% had a tendency and 30% had an absence of suffering from depersonalization. Personal fulfillment was present in 35%, 45% showed a tendency and 20% did not show presence of personal fulfillment. Conclusions. Materials and Methods: The study was qualitative, descriptive, and cross-sectional, conducted on a population of 70 nursing graduates who were interviewed and surveyed using the Maslach Burnout Inventory. The collected data were entered into the SPSS database and processed using percentile tests. Results: 81.4% of the nursing graduates were female, 48.6% were between 24 to 29 years old, and 67.1% were single. Regarding the dimensions of Burnout Syndrome, in the emotional exhaustion dimension, 47.1% reported a high level, while 24.3% reported a low level; in the depersonalization dimension, 37% reported high and low levels, respectively, and 26% reported a medium level; in the personal accomplishment dimension, 10% reported a high level, 34.3% reported a medium level, and 55.7% reported a low level. Materials and methods: The research has a quantitative, descriptive and cross-sectional approach, we worked with 70 nursing interns at the Norbert University Wiener. The Maslach Burnout Inventory questionnaire was applied, which contains three aspects of Burnout syndrome such as: Emotional Exhaustion, Depersonalization and Personal Achievement. Results: It was found that in the sociodemographic data there are inmates aged 19 to 30 years in 64%, and female in 77.1%. In the Burnout Syndrome in the dimension of emotional exhaustion it was average 60%. In depersonalization it was low 46%. In personal achievement it was average 48%. In total, 50% were obtained at an average level for Burnout. Conclusions: There are nursing interns with Burnout Syndrome in the emotional exhaustion dimension that predominates in 60%.Ítem Acceso abierto Burnout syndrome in nursing staff in the COVID-19 area at National Arzobispo Loayza Hospital, 2020(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2020-09-11) Culquicondor Criollo, Rene; Gonzales Saldaña, Susan HaydeeObjective: Determine the level of burnout syndrome in the nursing staff of the COVID 19 hospitalization area at the Arzobispo Loayza National Hospital, 2020 Material and method: The type of research is descriptive, cross-sectional, with a quantitative, observational approach; in which a total of 63 nursing graduates from the Arzobispo Loayza National Hospital were included; using the Maslasch Burnout Inventory as an instrument, which had an adequate internal consistency of 0.777. Results: The level of the emotional exhaustion dimension was low in 68.3%, followed by 17.5% with a medium level; Regarding the depersonalization dimension, a low level was obtained in 60.3%, 33.3% had a medium level; and in the dimension of personal fulfillment they obtained a high level in 41.3%, and 33.3% had a low level. Regarding Burnout syndrome, 44.4% had a medium level, 39.7% had a low level and 15.9% obtained a high level of this syndrome. Material and methods: quantitative approach, cross-sectional application/descriptive design; With a population of 84 students, a non-probabilistic sample of 56 students selected by inclusion and exclusion criteria, the survey technique was carried out through a questionnaire carried out by the author Cajusol (2017), being valid and reliable. Results: 89.3% (50) do not know and 10.7% (6) know hand hygiene in their clinical practice, with respect to the generalities dimension, 53.6% (30) do not know and 46.4% (26) know general hand hygiene in their clinical practice, with respect to the dimension moments, 53.6% (30) do not know and 46.4% (26) know the moments of hygiene of hands in their clinical practice, with respect to the technical dimension, 92.9% (59) do not know and 7.1% (4) know the hand hygiene technique in their clinical practice. Conclusion: the majority of 4th and 5th cycle nursing students at Norbert Wiener University do not know clinical hand hygiene.
