Ítem Acceso abierto Effectiveness of a multidisciplinary intervention in managing post-traumatic stress disorder in military personnel working in conflict zones(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2019-11-17) Guerra Tudela, Daysi Ninfa; Rodríguez Vivanco, Fanny Miryam; Pérez Siguas, Rosa EvaObjective: Systematize the evidence on the multidisciplinary intervention of the effectiveness in the management of post-traumatic stress to improve the mental health and quality of life of military personnel working in conflict zones. Materials and Methods: Systematic, observational and retrospective review, which compiles the results of various research studies. The selection has been limited to articles with a complete statement and analytical interpretation, using the grade method to indicate the strength of evidence. Results Of the 10 works, 70% (n=7/10) correspond to a systematic review, 10% (n=1/10), a Random Sampling study, 10% (n=1/10), a study of quantitative cases 10% (n=1/10) and an Experimental Design study 10% (n=1/10). The works come from the countries: Spain (60%), Colombia (30%), Mexico (10%) and Romania (10%). Conclusions: From the works we found that 70% of the systematic reviews recommend the intervention of the health professional in the treatment of post-traumatic stress in people subjected to violent events, emphasizing the role of the nursing professional in the prevention and detection of cases of PTSD and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy is recommended as the treatment of choice, followed by cognitive-behavioral therapy and Psychological intervention.
