The population was 154 nurses who met the inclusion criteria. The technique used was the interview and the instrument used was a questionnaire. Results: The attitude towards organ donation and transplantation in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) has the highest promotion by 52%, and the lowest is 48%. The same for the dimensions: PRL (attitudes towards the defense of the organ donor at a political and research level) with 54%, APS (attitudes towards actively and personally safeguarding the will and wishes of the potential organ donor) with 53%, SPPA (attitude towards safeguarding the will and wishes of the potential donor through a professional approach) with 63%, and SWR (attitudes towards safeguarding the will and wishes of patients) with 76%, consecutively, maintaining greater promotion for nursing. With respect to the first SHL dimension (attitude of defense of the organ donor at the structural Hospital level), a greater proportion of nurses with lower promotion is evident with 57%. Conclusions: The Attitude of Promotion of Organ Donation and Transplantation by the Professional Care Nurse of the Intensive Care Units is of greater promotion by ATODAS (Attitude of the nurse towards the promotion of organ donors).Ítem Acceso abierto Nutritional status and functional capacity in institutionalized elderly adults in a geronto-geriatric center(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2015) Quispe Subia, Jesusa Chebra; Guevara Morote de Rojas, Graciela AdilbertaThe life expectancy of the Peruvian population has changed in recent years; in 1970, it was 53 years; in 2004, it was 70 years, and it is estimated to reach 75 years by 2025. Objective: To determine the relationship between nutritional status and functional capacity level in institutionalized older adults at the Geronto Geriatric Residential Care Center-Canevaro. The study was quantitative, applied in nature, and had a descriptive and correlational design. The study sample consisted of 130 older adults, with two instruments used: nutritional status was assessed using the Mini-Nutritional Assessment (MNA), and functional capacity was identified using the Barthel Index Scale. Descriptive and inferential analyses were performed using the SPSS 18.0 statistical package, and the Chi-square (X2) test was applied to establish variable associations at a 95% confidence level. Results: Regarding the demographic profile, 60.8% (79) were male, and 39.2% (51) were female; 54.6% were 80 years or older, and 52.3% were from the city of Lima. Regarding nutritional status, 47.7% (62) of the older adults were at risk of malnutrition, 46.9% had malnutrition, and 5.4% (7) were normal or well-nourished. Regarding functional capacity, 72.3% had moderate dependency, followed by severe dependency in 17.7%. It was determined that there was a statistically significant association between nutritional status and functional capacity.Ítem Acceso abierto Relationship between knowledge level and attitude towards HIV/AIDS infection in 4th and 5th-year high school students at Daniel Alomía Robles School No. 113 in San Juan de Lurigancho, Lima – 2019(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2019-08-05) Huayta Santos, Ana Jackelin; Guevara Morote de Rojas, Graciela AdilbertaObjective: Determine the relationship between level of knowledge and attitude towards HIV/AIDS infection in 4th grade students. and 5th. secondary school of the Daniel Alomía Robles Educational Institution N° 113 of the San Juan de Lurigancho district, Lima - 2019. Materials and Methods: The research work had a quantitative approach, descriptive - correlational and cross-sectional. With a sample of 339 4th grade students. and 5th. high school. The “HIV/AIDS Scale-65” was used, which measures the variables knowledge and attitude towards HIV/AIDS infection. Results: A low level of knowledge was obtained with 53.1% and with a minimum difference of 46.9% at a high level; Thus, its two dimensions were also presented: 65.5% had a low level of knowledge of HIV/AIDS transmission and 78.2% had erroneous knowledge; There was also 52.5% of negative attitude towards HIV/AIDS infection and 47.5% of positive attitude with its following dimensions: The affective attitude presented 55.2% of negative attitude; the cognitive, 82.6% positive attitude and, finally, the behavioral, 60.2% negative attitude. Materials and Methods: This is a quantitative study with a descriptive, correlational, and cross-sectional design. The sample consisted of 145 women. The technique used was an interview, and the instruments included a questionnaire with 10 questions to measure the knowledge level and a test with 6 items to measure attitude. Results: It was found that 46.9% (68) had an average knowledge level about climacteric, 29% (42) had a high level, and 24.1% (35) had a low level. In terms of attitude, 51.7% (75) exhibited a favorable attitude, while 48.3% (70) exhibited an unfavorable attitude.
