The sample consisted of 256 students, and data collection was done through a survey in September 2017, with informed consent. Results: Regarding sex, 51% of male students donated blood (p=0.006), showing statistical significance. Regarding the belief that blood donation causes anemia, 17.4% had donated blood, while 39.5% of those who did not believe blood donation causes anemia had donated (p=0.04). The belief that blood donation could lead to disease transmission showed no significant association (p=0.89). Conclusion: Among socio-cultural factors, students' belief that blood donation causes anemia or infectious diseases is associated with blood donation. Regarding socio-demographic factors, sex was not associated with blood donation.
