    Sociocultural factors and practices on exclusive breastfeeding of primiparous mothers of a National Hospital 2022

    The objective of this study was to determine the relationship between sociocultural factors and exclusive breastfeeding practices among primiparous mothers. Methodology: The study was conducted using a deductive-hypothetical method with a quantitative nature and a design that does not involve specific intervention in the behavior of the variables under study. It is an applied study with a sample of 107 primiparous mothers. Data collection involved a questionnaire to measure sociocultural factors and an observation guide to assess exclusive breastfeeding practices. Both instruments were validated and reliable, with reliability values exceeding 0.8. The approximate time required to complete the questionnaires was 25 minutes per participant. The data collected were tabulated and encoded in a database using Excel and subsequently analyzed with SPSS version 25.0. Descriptive results were presented in tables and figures, while inferential results were obtained using Spearman's Rho with a significance level of 0.05 to test the hypotheses. Conclusions derived from the study provide the basis for formulating recommendations.
