Ítem Acceso abierto Effectiveness of music therapy in reducing anxiety in adult patients undergoing surgery(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-01-16) Guizado Ramos, Maria Milagros; Cárdenas de Fernández, María HildaObjective: To determine the effectiveness of music therapy in reducing anxiety in adult patients who have undergone surgery. Materials and methods: This is a systematic review, non-experimental and retrospective study. A search for scientific articles in indexed journals was conducted, and according to selection criteria, 10 articles with full-text files were obtained. These articles were subjected to critical reading and evaluated using the GRADE system to assess the level of evidence. Results: Regarding the effectiveness of music therapy in reducing anxiety in adult patients after surgery, 90% of the studies were experimental, while 10% were systematic reviews. The studies came from China (30%), England (10%), Sweden (10%), the United Kingdom (10%), Taiwan (10%), Spain (10%), Turkey (10%), and the United States (10%). Of the 10 studies reviewed, 90% (9/10) provided evidence that music therapy during surgery reduces anxiety in postoperative adult patients. Conclusions: Based on the results, it is concluded that listening to music can help reduce anxiety levels in postoperative patients.Ítem Acceso abierto Ergonomic risks related to occupational low back pain in nurses working in the Surgical Center at the Daniel Alcides Carrión Hospital, 2014.(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2014) Guizado Ramos, Maria Milagros; Zamora Córdova, Karin; Borda Izquierdo, AlejandroObjective: To determine the relationship between ergonomic risks and occupational low back pain in nurses working in the surgical center of the Daniel Alcides Carrión Hospital in 2014. Material and Methods: This research is applied to the field of health, of a descriptive-correlational type, cross-sectional, and non-experimental. The sampling was non-probabilistic and intentional. The sample consisted of 33 nurses: permanent (72.7%) and contract (27.3%), with ages ranging from 23 to 33 years (69.7%). Results: With a probability of p: (0.02), a “moderate positive correlation” (Spearman's Rho 0.517) was found between ergonomic risks (prolonged forced postures (0.718) and body movements (0.649)), both showing a high positive correlation with occupational low back pain in the acute dimension. The risks of weight-force (0.619), body movements (0.603), and prolonged forced postures (0.436) showed a “moderate positive correlation” with subacute low back pain. Body posture (0.055) and weight-force (0.158) showed a “low positive correlation” and did not demonstrate a higher level of relationship with chronic low back pain. Conclusion: Ergonomic risks are related to occupational low back pain with a moderate positive correlation.
