Ítem Acceso abierto Effectiveness of teaching with the use of simulators in the development of emergency management skills in nursing students and professionals(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2019-12-07) Hernández Luján, Silvia Rosa; Hurtado Contreras, Elizabeth; Matta Solis, Hernán HugoObjective: Systematize the evidence on the effectiveness of teaching with the use of simulators in the development of competencies for emergency management in nursing students and professionals. Material and Method: The research design was a systematic review. The total population was 19 articles, extracted from scientific databases, to which eligibility and selection criteria were applied, with 10 articles being the final sample. Results: 50% (n=5) come from the United States, 20% (n=2) from Korea, 10% (n=1) from Brazil, 10% (n=1) from Saudi Arabia and 10% (n =1) from Sweden. 40% (n=4) are experimental designs, 10% (n=2) were systematic reviews, 20% (n=2) were quasi-experimental, 10% (n=1) longitudinal cohort and 20% (n=2 ) transversal descriptive. Conclusions: Of 10 articles systematically reviewed, 7/10 (70%) conclude that teaching with the use of simulators is effective in the development of competencies for emergency management in nursing professionals, improving its various basic, generic and specific components. . 3/10 (30%) report that it is necessary to carry out more research, finding non-significant results.
