Ítem Acceso abierto Gross motor function in childhood cerebral palsy and quality of life of the caregiver in a private clinic in Lima-2022(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-11-18) Herrera Gavidia, Vanessa Andrea; Puma Chombo, Jorge EloyCerebral palsy is associated with numerous complications and severity levels that limit a child’s ability to engage in daily activities. Caring for these children is not an easy task due to the physical and emotional demands it entails. This role is often undertaken by the mother or another family member, known as the "caregiver," who plays a crucial role in the child’s rehabilitation process by assisting them, attending medical and rehabilitation appointments, and following the professionals' recommendations. The goal of this research is to determine the relationship between gross motor function in children with cerebral palsy and the caregiver's quality of life, which will provide a holistic view for enhancing recovery, as the caregiver plays a vital role in this process.
