    Use of captopril versus amlodipine for the nursing care process in hypertensive crisis in the emergency service.

    The literature review included 10 scientific articles on the use of captopril versus amlodipine for the care process of nurses in hypertensive crisis in the emergency department. They were cited from the lilacs, pubmed, dialnet, scielo, Cochrane, ebsco and epistemonikos databases. The selected articles were subjected to an exhaustive reading; they were analyzed according to the Grade scale to determine their strength and quality of evidence. Results: Of the 10 studies, 50% (n = 5/10) are analytical cross-sectional studies, 30% (n = 3/10) are narrative reviews, 10% (n = 1/10) are meta-analysis and another 10% (n = 1/10) are retrospective cohort studies. The analysis of the studies shows that 90% (n=9/10) indicate that there is not enough scientific evidence to define the use of captopril versus amlodipine for the nursing care process in hypertensive crisis in the emergency service and 10% (n=1/10) confirm that amlodipine is effective in hypertensive crisis.
