Ítem Acceso abierto Effectiveness of training parents with positive parenting programs to reduce child abuse(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2018-11-25) Huamán Alvarez, María Elena; Pretell Aguilar, Rosa MaríaA systematic review was carried out of 10 scientific articles evidenced on the effectiveness of training parents with positive parenting programs for the reduction of child abuse that were obtained from the database Pubmed, Scielo, Medline, Ebsco, Elsevier, Dialnet, ProQuest and Google Scholar. They were analyzed according to the Grade scale to determine the strength and quality of the evidence. Of the 10 articles, 40% (4/10) corresponded to the methodological design of a systematic review, 30% (3/10) to meta-analysis and 30% (3/10) to pre-experimental studies. RESULTS: Of the 10 articles reviewed, 90% (9/10) demonstrated that parent training with positive parenting programs is effective in reducing child abuse by improving protective factors and reducing risk factors in families, 10 % (1/10) showed that there is no significant effect of training with positive parenting programs in reducing child abuse. CONCLUSIONS: Of the 10 articles reviewed, 9 out of 10 show effectiveness of training parents with positive parenting programs in the prevention and reduction of child abuse and 1 out of 10 does not show effectiveness of training parents with positive parenting programs in reducing child abuse.
