Level of knowledge of autoclave sterilization in nurses at the sterilization center of the Rebagliati hospital, Lima-2021

Objective: To determine the level of knowledge about autoclave sterilization among nurses in the sterilization department at the Rebagliati Hospital, Lima 2021. Methodology: A quantitative, cross-sectional, descriptive, non-experimental study with a deductive method. The population will include all nurses working in the Central Sterilization Service at Rebagliati Hospital in Lima, with 27 nurses selected based on the inclusion and exclusion criteria set forth in this research project. No sample size calculation was made. Data Collection Techniques and Instruments: The technique used in the research will be a survey for the variable "Level of knowledge about autoclave sterilization." The instrument will be a questionnaire, which will measure: sterilization processes, quality indicators, placement of the surgical instrument set, and preparation of the surgical instrument packaging. Procedures: Data collection will take place over three months in the central sterilization service at Rebagliati Hospital. Once data collection is complete, the data will be entered into the SPSS v.25 system. Statistical Analysis: The data will be transferred to Excel v.2020, and the results will be interpreted through graphs and tables, which will then be discussed and compared with the objectives set forth.
