Ítem Acceso abierto Knowledge and attitude of mothers about early stimulation in neonates in a hospital in Chincha, 2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2024-01-14) Huaman Huarcaya, Nataly; Montoro Valdivia, Marcos AntonioIntroduction: early stimulation involves repeating certain sensory stimuli in daily interaction with the baby. Through this process, the baby develops greater control over their emotions, which strengthens their sense of security and their ability to take initiative. Therefore, it is important for mothers to acquire knowledge about this topic and develop positive attitudes that allow them to practice stimulation in their children after birth. Objective: to determine the relationship between knowledge and attitude of mothers regarding early stimulation in neonates at a hospital in Chincha. Methods: basic, non-experimental, cross-sectional correlational study; which will have a sample of 60 mothers of rooming-in neonates; data will be collected through two validated questionnaires that have acceptable reliability. The collected data will be transferred to Excel 2019 for calculation and then coded in SPSS v25 for processing and analysis, which will be presented through descriptive statistics including academic tables with their respective absolute and percentage frequencies. Spearman's correlation will be used to verify the relationship between the variables studied, given that it is a small sample and it is likely that neither of the two variables studied will have a normal distribution. The p-value will also be reported, considering a value less than 0.05 to reject the null hypothesis.
