Publicación Acceso abierto Relación de glucosa y hemoglobina glicosilada A1C en pacientes de 40 a 60 años con diabetes mellitus tipo II de la Clínica Internacional, 2017(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2019-07-06) Huarancca Carpio, Esther Eusebia; Rios Ureta, Bilha Floresmila; Parreño Tipián, Juan ManuelThis study linked glucose to glycosylated hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c) in 50 patients aged 40 to 60 years with type II diabetes mellitus at the International Clinic, using laboratory analysis control. A descriptive, prospective, and cross-sectional study was conducted. A dot plot showed a nearly straight line with positive proportionality; a high correlation was obtained with r = 0.8585. When relating glucose to gender and HbA1c to gender, a higher percentage of values ≥126 mg/dL was found in females (85%), and a higher percentage of HbA1c values ≥6.5 in females (70%). When evaluating glucose with age and HbA1c with age, it was divided into two groups, "40 to 49 years" and "50 to 60 years", the group that had the highest prevalence of values in the range ≥126 mg / dL is "50 to 60 years" with 78% and the highest percentage of HbA1c values ≥6.5 with 67% was found in patients in the same group. There is a high correlation between glucose versus HbA1c, so that when glucose rises, HbA1c also rises.
