Ítem Acceso abierto Coping styles and resilience in patients with kidney disease(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-09-25) Huarauya Mori, Sara Elizabeth; Cárdenas de Fernández, María HildaThe research had the general objective of determining the relationship between coping styles and resilience in patients with kidney disease in a public hospital in Huánuco during 2022. The study was developed with a quantitative approach, using a non-experimental, cross-sectional design of a descriptive and correlational-causal type. The population and sample consisted of 45 patients with kidney diseases from a public hospital in Huánuco, to whom a survey was applied. The COPE coping style scale was used to measure the coping style variable, and the Wagnild and Young resilience scale was used to measure the resilience variable. The results showed that for the coping style variable, 68.9% of patients were at the medium level, while for the resilience variable, 71.1% were at the medium level. The hypothesis test revealed a high positive correlation between the coping style and resilience variables, with Rho = 0.755 (50.3%) and p = 0.000 < 0.05 (5%). It was concluded that coping styles are significantly related to resilience in patients with kidney disease in a public hospital in Huánuco during 2022.
