Ítem Acceso abierto Relationship Between Waiting Time and the Complaints System in Emergency Patients at San Juan de Lurigancho Hospital, Lima 2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2024-02-27) Huarcaya Suray, Leidy Stefany; Hermoza Moquillaza, Rocío VictoriaObjective: To determine whether waiting time is directly related to the claims system in emergency patients. Materials and methods: This was a correlational, cross-sectional, nonexperimental study. The variables Waiting time and complaints system were analyzed in a sample of 381 respondents who attend the Hospital in the district of San Juan de Lurigancho. The instruments used were the questionnaire applied to measure the complaints and claims system and the evaluation questionnaire on waiting time and user satisfaction, which were validated by expert judgment with Cronbach's alpha of 0.950 and 0.921, respectively. Results: It was found that 82.41% of the respondents considered the waiting time as good, 16.01% rated it as fair and 1.57% as bad; 55.6% considered the institution's complaints system as good, followed by 39.9% as fair and 4.5% as bad. Conclusion: Satisfaction with waiting time has a direct and significant correlation with the positive perception of the complaints system, which highlights the importance of efficient time management in emergency services, with a Tau-b of 0.264 and p-value <0.001.
