    In March 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared COVID-19 a global pandemic. The progression of COVID-19 varies, ranging from asymptomatic infection to severe pneumonia requiring assisted ventilation. After being discharged, patients may experience sequelae, ranging from mild to severe. In Mexico, Herrera et al. identified persistent symptoms such as fatigue (84%), weakness (84%), headaches (75%), chest pain (80%), and shortness of breath (50%), which have significant clinical relevance as they impact quality of life and daily activities.
