    Social support and quality of life in older adults in a geriatric center, Lima 2021

    Introduction: The aging of society may affect economic growth, work and retirement patterns, the way families function, the ability of governments and communities to provide adequate resources for older adults, and the prevalence of chronic diseases and disability. Objective: To determine the relationship between social support and quality of life in older adults in a geriatric center, Lima 2021. Methods: The study will be observational, descriptive and correlational. The population to be investigated will be composed of all the older adults in a geriatric center located in Lima, during the year 2021. According to the list of residents provided by the administrative area of the institution, there are 46 registered older adults. Regarding quality of life, the instrument used for this research was the questionnaire designed by the World Health Organization to measure quality of life (WHOQOL-BREF). As for social support, the instrument will be the Medical Outcomes Study (MOS), which will allow data to be obtained.
