Publicación Acceso abierto Bullying e ideación suicida en estudiantes de 17 a 20 años de una universidad privada de Lima, 2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-09-29) Atencio Antonio, Edulvina Gloria; Iraola Real, IvanBullying and suicidal ideation are a problem experienced by many Peruvian adolescents and young people; and as such, they require updated studies to apply alternative solutions. For these reasons, the present investigation aims to determine how bullying is related to suicidal ideation in university students from 17 to 20 years of age from a private university in Lima, 2023. A hypothetical deductive methodology was applied according to the quantitative approach and according to the correlational non-experimental design. In this way, the Cisneros School Bullying and Beck's Suicidal Ideation instruments were applied; 80 university students answered both instruments from 17 to 22 years of age. Then, the results of the descriptive statistics reported that the sample had never been victims of bullying, but had rarely experienced suicidal ideas. And, in the analyzes of the hypothesis tests, it was observed that bullying in general and all its dimensions (restriction of communication, exclusion and social blocking, contempt and ridicule, verbal harassment, coercion, theft, aggression, intimidation and threats) were related positively and significantly with suicidal ideation; thus confirming all the alternative hypothesesPublicación Acceso abierto Calidad de sueño y estrés académico en estudiantes de una universidad privada de Lima, 2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2024-07-02) Vasconsuelo Acuña, Gloria Emily; Iraola Real, IvanSleep is one of the most important physiological processes for the body, covering the mental, physical and psychological spheres. When the hours of sleep are carried out adequately, the quality of sleep guarantees that its metabolic rate is optimal during its activities daily life. Nevertheless, since when it is not regulated correctly it brings with it various alterations, which is why the quality of sleep and academic stress are important areas to take into account, given that it increases over the years. Objective: Analyze the relationship between sleep quality and academic stress in students at a private university in Lima, 2023. Method: quantitative correlational, made up of a sample of 81 students. The Pittsburg Sleep Quality Index questionnaire and the SISCO inventory of academic stress were used. Results and conclusions: The quality of sleep in university students was 9.31± 3.557 (range 5.8-12.9), which indicates that certain students deserve medical attention and some deserve medical attention and treatment, frequently maintaining poor quality of sleep. In relation to academic stress we found that the mean 57.85 ± 3.856 (range 54-61.7) which indicates that they have moderate academic stress. It is concluded that in relation to sleep quality and academic stress in students at a university in Lima there is a good positive correlation, with a Pearson's Rho coefficient of 0.682 and a significance level of 0.000 < p – value of (p<0.05).Publicación Acceso abierto Estrategias de aprendizaje y competencias digitales en estudiantes de una universidad privada de Lima, 2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2024-01-26) Vila Richarte, Alvaro Cesar; Iraola Real, IvanObjective: Determine the relationship between learning strategies and digital skills in students at a private university in Lima, 2023. A hypothetical-deductive methodological approach of a quantitative type was used, with an applied research design and correlational scope. The selection of the population was carried out through cluster probability sampling, including all students from cycles I to VI and IX to X in a Faculty of Medicine of the mentioned public university. The final sample was estimated at 96 students. The instruments used were the ACRA-Abbreviated Scale, with a high internal consistency of Cronbach's alpha (0.956) and composed of 44 items distributed in three dimensions, and the EUMAV-Cov19 Scale, with a moderate internal consistency (0.607) and composed of eight items distributed in two dimensions. The results revealed a significant relationship between learning strategies and the use of technological tools, evidenced by a significant Pearson correlation coefficient (p< 0.05 and Rho= 0.375) between the mentioned variables; concluding that the study evidenced a direct relationship between learning strategies and the use of technological tools by students of the nutrition school of a public university. Furthermore, the dimensions of learning strategies: cognitive and learning control strategies, learning support strategies, and study habits were related to the use of technological tools.
