Ítem Acceso abierto Emotional intelligence and stress academic in students of the tenth cycle of nursing at Norbert Wiener University, 2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-12-07) Isla Vilchez, Claudia Jesusa; Cárdenas de Fernández, María HildaThe objective of this thesis was to determine the relationship between emotional intelligence and academic stress in students of the tenth nursing cycle of the Norbert Wiener University, Lima 2023. Methodology was quantitative, hypothetical - deductive, applied type, nonexperimental, correlational and cross. He used the Huamán (57) and Cabellos (58) instruments to collect information on the variables. SPSS v-25 was used to process the data. The results reveal that emotional intelligence in 35.8% (34 respondents) is at a deficit level and in 64.2% (61 respondents) the level was adequate and excellent. Also, academic stress in 34.7% (33 respondents) is at a low level, followed by 32.6% (31 respondents) who is at a medium level and 32.6% (31 respondents) the level was high. Regarding the dimensions, emotional attention is not significantly related to the academic stress variable, the significance value was p=0.074, the emotional clarity dimension is not significantly related to the academic stress variable, the significance value was p=0.884, the dimension Emotional regulation is not significantly related to the academic stress variable, the value of significance was p=0.670. In conclusion, there is no statistically significant relationship between emotional intelligence and academic stress in nursing students of the tenth cycle of the Norbert Wiener University. Rho = 0.075 and significance value p = 0.470.
