Ítem Acceso abierto Knowledge and attitudes about immunizations in mothers of children under 1 year in a health center in Lima Provinces 2020(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2020-10-11) Izaguirre Ravines, Fabiola Viviana; Avila Vargas Machuca, Jeannette GiselleThe immunization process is a preventive health intervention aimed at the eradication of vaccine-preventable diseases, which are causes of disability, morbidity, and infant mortality. A global issue is incomplete vaccination schedules in children, which is related to various factors such as late initiation, the socioeconomic level of mothers, insufficient information about vaccines, and a lack of follow-up and information provided by healthcare personnel. Furthermore, the rejection attitude of parents towards vaccination, resulting from misinformation, significantly affects low vaccination coverage. Objective: To determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and attitudes about immunizations in mothers of children under 1 year of age. Materials and methods: This study is quantitative, descriptive, and cross-sectional. The design is non-experimental because the variable will not be deliberately manipulated. For the data collection process, the interview technique will be used. To measure the knowledge variable, a questionnaire will be used, and to measure the attitudes variable, a Likert scale will be used.
