    Knowledge and Practice of Nurses to Prevent Pressure Ulcers in Patients Hospitalized in the Intensive Care Unit of the PNP Augusto B. Leguía Hospital, 2022.

    Pressure ulcers are one of the most common issues in healthcare worldwide, increasing costs and the prolonged stays of patients, as well as complicating their health. Prevention is key to avoiding these problems. Therefore, the objective of the study is to determine the relationship between knowledge and preventive practices regarding pressure ulcers in patients hospitalized in the ICU. This will be done using a quantitative methodology with a hypothetical-deductive method and a non-experimental design. The sample consists of 45 nursing staff, and the data collection technique will involve surveys, using a questionnaire and an observation guide as instruments. The results will be analyzed using the statistical program SPSS 25.0, Excel, and Word to format the data. The analysis will include both descriptive and inferential aspects, allowing the hypotheses to be tested and conclusions to be drawn.
