The objective was to determine the relationship between the use of native plants and knowledge about rheumatoid arthritis among residents of the Llamellín district, Áncash, in 2021. The methodology used a non-experimental, cross-sectional, descriptive, and correlational design. A total of 229 residents of the Llamellín district were surveyed, following inclusion and exclusion criteria. A questionnaire validated by experts from Norbert Wiener University was used as the instrument. Results: It was found that the greater the knowledge of rheumatoid arthritis, the greater the use of native plants. The most used native plants were molle and tuna congona, the most common route of administration was oral, and the sociodemographic factor of occupation showed a result of "agreement" when the level of native plant use was high. Conclusion: The variables of native plant use and knowledge of rheumatoid arthritis had a moderate positive direct correlation with a significance of less than 0.05 among the residents of the Llamellín district, Áncash, in 2021.
