Ítem Acceso abierto Relationship between functional respiratory condition and grip strength in post-covid 19 patients, regional hospital Chimbote - 2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-05-18) Jara Capac, Magali Saely; Chero Pisfil, Santos LucioPost-COVID-19 patients exhibit sequelae, including respiratory difficulty and reduced muscle strength, impacting their functional respiratory condition and grip strength. For this reason, it is essential to evaluate these variables in such patients. Functional respiratory condition refers to the respiratory system's ability to act and function correctly to oxygenate the body, assessed through fatigue associated with activities of daily living (ADLs). Fatigue is measured using the Fatigue Inventory (IBF), which consists of 10 questions, where 0 indicates no interference from fatigue and 10 indicates significant interference. Grip strength refers to the muscle strength of the hand, evaluated using a dynamometer, with results classified as weak, normal, or strong. The objective is to determine the relationship between functional respiratory condition and grip strength in post-COVID-19 patients at Regional Hospital Chimbote - 2023. The study will adopt a hypothetical-deductive approach, with a quantitative, applied, non-experimental, cross-sectional, and correlational design. Research techniques will include surveys, the IBF, and the dynamometer.
