Ítem Acceso abierto In vitro evaluation of fracture resistance and color of 3d printed resins processed at different post-curing times, 2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-12-15) Ycaza Lengua, Pamela Emelyn; Jaramillo Wong, Jonathan MarceloThe study aims to determine the fracture resistance and color of 3D printing resins processed at different post-curing times. This in vitro experimental research was conducted over a period of longitudinal, prospective, and explanatory studies. The 3D printing resins used were Optiprint Lumina A2 (Dentona, Germany) and Prizma Bio Crown A2 (Makertechlabs, Brazil). They were printed on a Halot One Plus printer (Creality, China), and subjected to four post-curing times(0, 5, 10, and 15 minutes), using the Wash & Cure Kit unit (Phrozen, China). For Fracture Resistance Evaluation, 40 bars of 25 x 2mm were prepared (n=40), 10 for each post-curing time, and they were tested using a universal testing machine (Instron Model 4411, USA). For Color Evaluation, 40 discs of 10mm in diameter x 2mm in thickness were printed (n=40), 10 for each postcuring time, and they were individually measured using an EasyShade V digital spectrophotometer (Vita, Germany). Optiprint Lumina provisional 3D resin samples showed higher fracture resistance compared to Prizma Bio Crown samples. Additionally, samples subjected to longer post-curing times exhibited greater fracture resistance within their respective groups. Optiprint Lumina provisionalresin samples demonstrated a closer resemblance to the A2 color in the Vita Shade Guide than Prizma Bio Crown provisional resin samples, according to CIELab color scale. Samples subjected to longer post-curing times showed a closer resemblance to the A2 color in the Vita Shade Guide within their respective groups. In conclusion, the evaluation indicates that post-curing processing times influence both the fracture resistance and the color of 3D printing resins.
