Given this panorama, it is necessary to investigate, to have updated information that allows taking actions aimed at preventing or reducing the presence of this condition, since it can harm them, the babies in their care, their families and society as a whole. OBJECTIVE: determine the level of Burnout Syndrome in the nursing staff of the neonatology service of a hospital in Lima, 2020. MATERIALS AND METHODS: research with a quantitative, basic and descriptive approach, since it seeks to make known in the most precise way possible the characteristics of the Burnout Syndrome variable in nursing and cross-sectional personnel. The population will be 50 members of the nursing staff of the neonatology service of a hospital in Lima and the instrument that will be applied will be the questionnaire.
