Ítem Acceso abierto Effectiveness of non-pharmacological therapy for pain relief in hospitalized children(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2019-02-17) Jaramillo Sanchez, Rosa Elena; Jimenez Allcca, Katti Alejandrina; Cárdenas de Fernández, María HildaObjective: To systematically analyze the evidence on the effectiveness of the use of Non-Pharmacological Therapies in relieving pain in hospitalized children. Material and Method: The systematic exploration of the 10 scientific articles that deal with the effectiveness of the use of Non-Pharmacological Therapies in the relief of pain in hospitalized children, were in the subsequent databases Cochrane, Lilacs, Scielo, Medline Pubmed, these were examined according to the Grade scale to establish its strength and quality of evidence Results: Of the 10 articles reviewed, 80% recommend that non-pharmacological therapies are effective for the relief of pain in hospitalized children and the 20% evidence that the nurse is of vital importance to apply these therapies and educate the family and the patient. Conclusions: According to this review, it can be said that nursing has a very important role in the application of these non-pharmacological therapies, in addition to strengthening their autonomy in caring for the child since the application of these therapies is their decision, with the firm purpose to improve the physical, biological and emotional well-being of the hospitalized child.
