The methodology used in the research will be quantitative in nature, specifically correlational, and will follow a non-experimental, cross-sectional design. The sample will consist of nurses who meet the predefined criteria for the study. Data collection will be carried out through the application of surveys and observation. These instruments have been validated by experts and demonstrate high reliability, with a Cronbach's alpha coefficient of 0.88, ensuring compliance with all ethical aspects. The results highlighted the importance of having solid knowledge of biosecurity in daily routines, revealing a positive correlation between the level of knowledge and the implementation of safe practices. It is concluded that the thesis not only provides essential information on the relationship between knowledge and the application of biosecurity but also lays the groundwork for future research. The urgency of continuous educational programs is emphasized to ensure safe practices and protect both professionals and patients in intensive care settings.
