To determine the relationship between respiratory or inhalation exposure to solid waste and occupational risk associated with waste management among cleaning operators in two districts of North Lima 2024. Methodology: A correlational, non-experimental, cross-sectional study. The study involved the entire population (municipal workers) and used two instruments: a survey and an observational approach. Results: Descriptive statistical analysis showed that 48% of the sample members had a medium level of knowledge about solid waste management, 34% had a low level, and 18% a high level. Regarding the occupational risk variable, 46% had a medium level of knowledge, 29% a high level, and 25% a low level. For inferential statistics, the Kolmogorov-Smirnov normality test was used, as the data were collected from 120 participants. Conclusions: The chi-square test showed a statistically significant correlation between solid waste management and occupational risk reduction among cleaning operators (p = 0.045 < 0.05). This suggests that better waste management is associated with safer working conditions in the evaluated districts of North Lima, supporting the alternative hypothesis (Ha).
