Publicación Acceso abierto Uso de software de modelamiento molecular en el aprendizaje de estereoquímica en alumnos de pre-grado de ciencias de una Universidad de Lima, 2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-12-18) López Gabriel, José Luis; Ramos Vera, Rosario PilarThe objective of this research work was to determine the influence of the use of a molecular modeling software in the learning of stereochemistry in undergraduate science students of a university in Lima, Peru, 2023. The research method applied is hypothetical deductive with a quantitative approach in a quasi-experimental study with a nonequivalent control group. The sample consisted of 90 students enrolled in the basic course of organic chemistry divided into two groups, one control and one experimental. Data collection was performed through a questionnaire on the topic of stereochemistry developed and validated by Leontyev (2015). Reliability was determined through the Kuder Richardson statistical test with a result of 0.813 indicating that the instrument has high reliability. The data obtained do not have a normal distribution so the hypothesis tests were performed with the nonparametric Mann Whitney U test; a value of p = 0.001 < 0.05 indicates that the use of a molecular modeling software does have a favorable influence on the learning of stereochemistry in undergraduate science students at a university in Lima.
