     Lifestyle habits and nutritional status in schoolchildren aged 8 to 12 years of educational institution No. 3019 of Rímac, 2017

    The research looked for the association between lifestyle habits and nutritional status in schoolchildren from 8 to 12 years old of the IE N° 3019 Rímac, 2017. It is a quantitative, non-experimental study, correlational and cross-sectional design, with a population of 153 students from 2nd to 6th grade of primary school, the results were obtained: 49% (n = 75) with sufficient lifestyle habits, 41.8% (n = 64) deficient lifestyle habits and only 9.2% (n = 14) healthy lifestyle habits. 73.9% (n = 113) have a normal nutritional status, 19% (n = 29) are overweight and 7.2% (n = 11) are obese. Of the total number of overweight students, the majority 62.1% (n = 18) have sufficient lifestyle habits. Concluding that there is no association between lifestyle habits and nutritional status.
