Ítem Acceso abierto Knowledge about dengue prevention and practice in adults who attend the J&S Salud Ate Medical Center, Lima 2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-12-21) La Paz Ochoa, Estefani Marilia; Cárdenas de Fernández, María HildaThe present study aims to determine the relationship between knowledge about dengue prevention and practice in adults who attend the J&S Salud Ate medical center, Lima 2023. For this, a hypothetical deductive, applied, quantitative, method was structured. cross-sectional, non-experimental and correlational, made up of 90 participants as a population and the sample was integrated by the same amount as it was census, while questionnaires for each variable will be applied as an instrument. The results obtained showed that the participants were 56.7% female, the age ranged from 20 to 30 years in 40.0%, the majority had a secondary education in 38.9%, the level of knowledge about dengue prevention is moderate. in 71.1% and the practices are moderate in 67.8%, it was found that the general knowledge dimensions, such as knowledge about warning signs and knowledge about prevention presented a significant association with the practices in adults with a p.value of 0.000. It was concluded that the knowledge about dengue prevention is significantly related to the practice in adults with a significance p value of 0.000 and the "Rho" value is 0.600, consequently, the greater the knowledge towards dengue prevention, the better the people practice.
