Ítem Acceso abierto Level of kinesiophobia and shoulder disability in patients of a therapy Center In San Juan De Lurigancho, 2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-11-14) Lara Navarro, Leydi Alexandra; Lovato Sánchez, Nita GianninaThe glenohumeral joint is one of the most complex and unstable joints in the human body, which tends to suffer from multiple injuries, including degenerative, inflammatory, and traumatic types. In 2017, Sabogal Hospital published statistical data indicating that painful shoulder frequency in patients aged 30 to 60 years due to a previous shoulder injury presented pain and movement limitations. The risk factors for Shoulder Dysfunction (SDH) are multifactorial, including stress, fatigue, wear, or degeneration. Psychological factors could be the most influential in the perception, processing, interpretation, and coping with chronic pain. In this case, kinesiophobia causes a reduced range of motion (ROM) in patients with chronic musculoskeletal pain, significantly affecting the quality and duration of rehabilitation time. An observational, descriptive, and cross-sectional study will use two questionnaires: the Shoulder Pain and Disability Index (SPADI) and the Tampa Scale for Kinesiophobia (TSK).
