    Level of occupational stress in the nursing staff of the surgical center of the Barranca Cajatambo Hospital, Barranca, Peru. 2020

    Introduction: Work stress today is considered the biggest public health problem; according to studies, 70% and 80% of diseases are directly related or aggravated by stress. With the arrival of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, it could be stressful for the entire population and even more so for health personnel. Objective: Determine the level of work stress of the nursing staff at the Surgical Center of the Barranca Cajatambo Hospital. Methodology: A descriptive, non-experimental cross-sectional study will be carried out. The study population will be made up of 32 people considered to be technicians and nurses who work in a surgical center, to whom Maslach's Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI) questionnaire will be applied as an instrument, according to 3 dimensions: Emotional exhaustion, Depersonalization and personal fulfillment . The data obtained will be tabulated and statistically processed, applying the SPSS 22 statistical package and Excel.
