    Nivel de conocimiento y prácticas de prevención de diabetes mellitus tipo 2 en trabajadores del Centro Comercial Polvos Azules, Lima-Perú, 2022

    The present research aimed to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge about type 2 diabetes mellitus and prevention practices among workers at the Polvos Azules Shopping Center, Lima – Peru, 2022. Method: Hypothetical-deductive, with a quantitative approach, non-experimental design, descriptive, correlational, and cross-sectional level. The research sample consisted of 340 workers. To test the hypotheses, the Chi-Square test and Cramer's V were applied. Results: It was reported that there is a statistical relationship between the level of knowledge about type 2 diabetes mellitus and: physical activity (Cramer's V = 0.144, p < 0.05); consumption of harmful substances in prevention practices (Cramer's V = 0.177, p < 0.05); identification of appropriate diet in prevention practices (Cramer's V = 0.139, p < 0.05); and identification of sedentary behavior (Cramer's V = 0.175, p < 0.05). Conclusion: It is determined that the level of knowledge about type 2 diabetes mellitus is related to prevention practices among workers at the Polvos Azules Shopping Center, Lima – Peru, 2022 (p < 0.005). Additionally, Cramer's V was 0.199, indicating a weak relationship.
