Methodology: This study used a qualitative, descriptive, and cross-sectional approach. The technique was observation, and the instrument was a checklist applied to 364 prescriptions. The data were processed using SPSS, from which tables and figures were generated. Results: The prevalence of the most used antibiotics dispensed was Ceftriaxone (23.6%). The most frequent pharmaceutical form was injectable suspension (36.5%), and the most common family of antibiotics was cephalosporins (28.6%). The most prevalent type of infection was respiratory (49.2%), and the most frequent route of administration was oral (58.2%). The most common type of antibiotic was generic (65.1%). The associated sex factor was female (53.0%), and the associated age factor was 38–47 years (31.0%). Conclusion: The prevalence of antibiotic dispensing in the Rímac district pharmacy consisted of a high percentage of antibiotics from the cephalosporin family (28.6%), with similar percentages for penicillins (28.3%) and macrolides (17.0%), which are primarily used for respiratory infections. Lower prevalence was found for aminoglycosides (8.2%), sulfonamides (1.1%), quinolones (14.8%), and tetracyclines (1.9%), which are used for skin, urinary tract, and soft tissue infections.
