Due to this problem, the WHO has developed the implementation of the safe surgery checklist, which is a checklist that allows identifying whether the origin of the adverse events lies in the human factor or On the contrary, it is due to technical failures in this way to avoid or minimize an adverse event to guarantee the health and well-being of patients. Objective: Determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and application of the safe surgery checklist in nurses at the Surgical Center of a Private Clinic 2020. Material and Method: The type of research is a quantitative, descriptive and cross-sectional approach. , will be based on a survey and two instruments will be applied, for the first variable a questionnaire will be applied which will determine knowledge about the safe surgery checklist, the second variable an observation guide to verify the correct application of the list verification of safe surgery.
