Ítem Acceso abierto Quality of health-related life (HRQL) in hypertensive patients who come to an office of cardiology of a health establishment of Surquillo - 2019(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2019-12-09) Lichardo Flores, Ursula Victoria; Perez Siguas, Rosa EvaObjective: To determine the health-related quality of life in hypertensive patients attending a cardiology clinic in a health facility in Surquillo, Lima - 2019. Material and method: The study is quantitative, with a descriptive design and a cross-sectional approach, including a population of 125 hypertensive patients aged 40 to 80 years attending a cardiology clinic in a health facility in Surquillo. The data collection technique used was the survey, and the measurement instrument was the SF-36 health questionnaire, which has 36 items grouped into 9 dimensions. Results: Regarding health-related quality of life, 42 patients have very high quality of life (33.6%), followed by 30 patients with average quality of life (24%), 26 patients with high quality of life (20.8%), 24 patients with low quality of life (19.2%), and finally, 3 patients with very low quality of life (2.4%). Regarding the dimensions, physical role (46.4%), emotional role (21.6%), and physical function (11.2%) had the lowest quality of life, with the most affected dimension being the physical role. Conclusions: Regarding health-related quality of life in hypertensive patients, very high quality of life predominated, followed by average, high, low, and very low quality of life. Regarding the dimensions, the most affected dimension was physical role.
