    Knowledge about biosecurity and practices of the workers of the San Miguel Health Center “Manuel Bertorini Jordan” - Lima, 2023

    The objective of this study was to determine how biosafety knowledge is related to the practices of the workers of the San Miguel Health Center, 2023. The research had a quantitative, descriptive-correlational approach and a non-experimental cross-sectional design, with a sample of 80 health and administrative workers. Data were collected through a questionnaire and a checklist. The results indicated that 68.8% of the health workers had a good level of biosafety knowledge, while 20.0% had an excellent level and 11.3% had a fair level. In terms of practices regarding biological risk, 97.5% of the workers showed adequate practices, while 2.5% presented inadequate practices. In addition, Spearman's correlation obtained a coefficient of 0.030 and a pvalue of 0.793, which is greater than 0.05, so the null hypothesis was accepted. It is concluded that there is no significant relationship between the level of knowledge about biosafety and workers' practices.
