    Chronic kidney disease is the end result of a series of nephropathies that cause the gradual, progressive and irreversible loss of kidney functions. Age, sex, history of chronic-degenerative diseases are also seen. In order to define CKD, glomerular filtration must be taken into account, this must be below 60 ml/min per 1.73 m2, kidney injury for 3 months or both, regardless of the cause. In order to be able to define and identify the knowledge of kidney disease and selfcare practice in patients of the hemodialysis service. Hospital Essalud Base II Moquegua 2023. In the present investigation, the hypothetical-deductive type of research method was used, with a quantitative and relational approach and, according to the data collection, it is an applied and cross-sectional type, and a correlational design. The sample size is made up of 43 relatives of patients who are hemodialysis. The data collection will be used as a survey technique and as an instrument a questionnaire which was elaborated and validated by the researcher Faviola Miraval Chuhon (Binomial test (p) knowledge of the disease p=0.0023; Practice of self-care with a force P=0.0031). The data will be entered into the IBM SPSS Statics V. 25 program, where frequency tables and percentages will be generated in order to determine the correlation between self-care knowledge and practice.
