Lima Metropolitana – 2021(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-06-02) Lizarraga Gabriel, Cecilia Maria; Ramos Jaco, Antonio GuillermoThe main objective of this research was to identify the emotional and behavioral consequences caused by the COVID-19 pandemic among healthcare professionals working in the Hogar y Salud pharmacy chain in Metropolitan Lima. The study was conducted using the deductive method, with a quantitative approach, applied type, cross-sectional design, non-experimental format, and descriptive level. The probabilistic sample consisted of 275 pharmaceutical professionals. A virtual survey and questionnaire were applied. Results: The research identified that 52.7% (n=145) of pharmacy professionals working in the Hogar y Salud chain in Metropolitan Lima experienced mild emotional consequences due to the COVID-19 pandemic, while 73.5% (n=202) experienced moderate behavioral consequences. Additionally, 56.4% (n=155) reported moderate psychological afflictions, 73.5% (n=202) reported moderate cognitive afflictions, 67.6% (n=186) showed moderate behavioral effects, and 70.5% (n=194) moderately adhered to the WHO recommendations for mental health care during the pandemic. Statistical significance (p<0.05) was observed, indicating a higher prevalence of moderate emotional and behavioral consequences in over 50% of pharmaceutical professionals during the pandemic. Conclusion: The COVID-19 pandemic significantly generated emotional and behavioral consequences among healthcare professionals working in the Hogar y Salud pharmacy chain in Metropolitan Lima.
