Ítem Acceso abierto Factors related to absenteeism of mothers to neonatal metabolic screening in a maternal and child center in Lima(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-11-26) Llanos Alberca, Carolina Isabel; Montoro Valdivia, Marcos AntonioIntroduction: Neonatal screening is a vital process that identifies apparently healthy newborns with serious inherited disorders, usually of metabolic origin, that can usually be corrected by dietary or pharmacological interventions before they suffer significant subsequent morbidity and mortality; That is, expanded neonatal screening, a single test, allows early detection and treatment of a large number of disorders and can potentially prevent serious consequences. Objective: Determine the relationship between the factors and the absenteeism of mothers to neonatal metabolic screening in a Maternal and Child Center, 2023. Methodology: The method will be hypothetical-deductive, quantitative approach, applied type, non-experimental and correlational design; the population made up of 90 mothers of newborns under 29 days old; and the sampling will be non-probabilistic for convenience and intention. The study techniques will be surveys and two validated questionnaires. To collect data, processing will be carried out using the statistical software Microsoft Excel 2021 and the SPSS Statistical Program version 26.0; and to calculate the contracting of the hypothesis, the Spearman Correlation Test (Rh0) will be applied to determine the relationship between the variables.
