    Weaning from mechanical ventilation is the procedure to disconnect or remove the critically ill patient from the mechanical ventilator in an intensive care unit. It follows a protocolized guide and a progressive workup of clinical, bio-physical, and physiological indicators or predictors. One of these indicators is the muscular pressure, which refers to the pressure exerted by inspiratory muscles during a maximal or forced inspiration. Therefore, the objective of this study is to relate mechanical ventilation weaning with the muscular pressure exerted by the critically ill patient.
