Publicación Acceso abierto Adherencia al tratamiento con dosis combinada y reacciones adversas en pacientes del servicio de Programa Control Tuberculosis, Centro Materno Lima 2024(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2026-02-20) López Ayala, Betsabe; Loredo Guadalupe, Israel; Bustamante Fustamante, Flor LidiaThe objective was to determine the relationship between adherence to combined dose treatment and adverse reactions in patients of the Tuberculosis Control Program service, Maternal Center Lima 2024. Method. The study employed a non-experimental, correlational, cross-sectional, numerically oriented design, using a hypothetico-deductive method and a basic approach. The participating population consisted of 159 individuals, 20 years of age or older, diagnosed with tuberculosis. Data were collected through surveys, and the hypothesis was verified using Spearman's rank correlation coefficient (rho). Results. 72.3% were between 20 and 35 years old; 49.7% were male. 78% understood the importance of completing treatment, 93.7% did not interrupt their treatment; 66.7% had family support, 72.3% experienced side effects, and 79.9% had access to medication. Level of adherence to treatment; Adherence to treatment was fair in 50.3% of cases, good in 30.8%, and poor in 18.9%. Regarding adverse reactions, 61.6% experienced nausea or vomiting, 40.9% abdominal pain, 17.6% jaundice, 23.9% skin rashes, 44.0% fatigue, 26.4% blurred vision, and 12.6% joint pain or swelling. The severity of adverse reactions was moderate in 59.1%, mild in 30.8%, and severe in 10.1%. A significant relationship (p=0.000) was observed between adherence to combination-dose treatment and adverse reactions in tuberculosis patients. Conclusion: A strong positive correlation (rho=0.751) exists between adherence to combination dose treatment and adverse reactions in tuberculosis patients enrolled in the tuberculosis control program at the Lima 2024 Maternal Center.
