Self-Care and Quality of life in patients undergoing haemodialysis treatment in a private clinic Ate, Lima 2023

Nowadays chronic kidney disease (CKD) is one of the public health problems due to its prevalence of cases and high morbidity and mortality rate. Patients with chronic kidney disease learn over time to take care of their own health, since in this process of the disease there is evidence of a deterioration of their functional capacity, it is there where self-care is generated to achieve an improvement in their quality of life. Specialized nursing care is essential to achieve good nephrological care, in which a general evaluation, physical, psychological and social evaluation is performed. Purpose: To promote self-care in patients with chronic kidney disease, and face the process in the best way, in order to achieve a better quality of life. Objective: To determine the way self-care is related to quality of life in those patients with hemodialysis treatment in a Private Clinic in Ate district in Lima in 2023. Methodology: The present study will be quantitative, descriptive and transversal. The sample will be 60 adult patients who meet the inclusion criteria. The survey will be applied as a technique for data collection and two questionnaires as instruments.
